Planting, establishing and maintaining trees and woodlands takes a huge amount of time and money to achieve the optimum establishment and growth which maximizes the volume of carbon emissions that are offset and the long term health of the trees.
Here are just a few of the first steps - careful selection of trees to suit the individual site. Plants grown to form strong little trees with root systems that are colonized with specific natural fungi which aid root development, disease resistance, nutrient uptake and can even produce growth hormones to increase the speed with which the plant grows!
These small trees need then to be planted and maintained and irrigated to maximize growth.
